Standard Vaccinations for Medical Travellers
- Hepatitis A and B – Hepatitis B is particularly relevant for anyone receiving blood products or surgical procedures abroad
- Typhoid – Recommended for India, Southeast Asia, and Africa
- Yellow Fever – Required for entry to some African and South American countries
Timing Your Vaccinations
Begin the process at least 6-8 weeks before departure. Hepatitis B requires a 3-dose schedule.

Live vaccines such as MMR and yellow fever should not be given within 4 weeks of surgery.
